Hi, I’m Berna, founder of merhabakids. As professionals living abroad (we moved from Germany in 2017), my husband and I struggled to find the time, energy & support to teach our 2 small children their heritage language. When we searched for help, the nearest class was in person, hours away, and took up our entire Saturday!
So, being an engineer by profession, I gathered a team of teachers and merhabakids was born. We solve the problem "I want my child(ren) to speak Turkish but don't have the time, energy or support to teach them".
We're passionate about teaching your child Turkish so they have lifelong roots to their heritage language & wings for their future! Because of this, we offer 1 free trial class to your child to get them started.

“Our children ages 4 and 11 truly enjoy being students of merhabakids. Because we live in the USA, our children spoke little to no Turkish and never responded in Turkish although we as the parents are fluent and do speak the language at home every day. merhabakids made them feel like being part of a community and where they could connect to the teacher and other kids through kid-appropriate topics that are fun too. Now they use the words and sentences they learn during the classes. The teachers are truly professional ad know exactly how to keep the kids engaged and make them talk proactively during the lessons.
